The 1958 prototype of Susana Soft Standard Armchair, made of glass and polyester laminate, was a pioneer in the use of this material in Europe. It was an example of a fully formed, homogeneous organic seat shell, unique on a global scale. One of the original armchairs was purchased by London’s Victoria & Albert Museum for its World Design collection. The armchair was presented by V&A at its exhibition “Cold War Modern: Design 1945-1970” devoted to modern design, architecture, film, and pop culture created during the Cold War on both sides of the Iron Curtain. An upholstered version of the Susana Soft Standard Armchair is a version of this Polish design classic and was put into production under the supervision of copyright holder Mrs. Wera Modzelewska, the widow after Professor Susana. Designed from scratch with a slightly larger seat made of upholstered foam, it ensures comfort and optimal utility value while preserving the unique historical form. Upholstery Colour: Synergy Green
